About the GECC

For years, I’ve supported grad students and professionals as they navigated academics, career transitions, and personal growth. Again and again, I heard the same desire for a space to grow alongside others who get the realities of their journeys. The GECC was created to meet that need.

This is a structured group coaching experience where you can reconnect with your values, build sustainable systems, and make steady and meaningful progress without sacrificing your wellbeing. The GECC centers your lived experience while equipping you with practical tools for follow-through, decision-making, and long-term success.

  • $499/month, Hybrid Coaching Option (GECC + 1:1 Support): Includes full access to the GECC plus one 50-minute 1:1 coaching session each month and weekly email support. This option is ideal for participants who would benefit from additional individualized support and space to address their specific goals and challenges.

  • $199/month, Supported Rate: The standard rate for most participants. This rate reflects the minimum level needed to sustain the program and support its continued offering.
  • $149/month, Limited Access Rate: Reserved for participants experiencing significant financial constraints. A limited number of spots are available at this rate to support accessibility while maintaining the sustainability of the program.

Access and Payment Options

GECC is designed to balance accessibility with the long-term sustainability of the program. Pay-in-full and monthly payment plan options are available to support different financial needs. A limited number of reduced-rate spots are available each cohort and are reserved for participants with significant financial constraints. Many participants choose to invest in this program over time, set aside funds in advance, or seek professional development support from their institution. This approach encourages participants to take an active role in investing in their own growth, whether through personal planning, institutional support, or a combination of both.

Sponsor a GECC Participant

In addition to individual enrollment, participants may also join through sponsored seats. You can support access to the GECC by sponsoring a participant through your organization or as an individual contributor.

Sponsorships are available at the following levels:

  • $525 per seat: Community Access Sponsorship
  • $675–$1,425 per seat: Sustaining Sponsorship

Sponsored participants receive full access to the three-month GECC program, including group coaching sessions, tools and resources, peer accountability, and a Certificate of Completion.

Sponsorship is a direct way to invest in the growth, retention, and wellbeing of first-generation graduate students and professionals while expanding access to structured coaching support.

Certificate of Completion

Participants who attend at least five of six sessions and complete all the reflection surveys will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate recognizes your participation in a professional development and group coaching program focused on sustainable productivity, executive functioning, and leadership skills that support academic and professional success. You may submit this certificate as evidence of professional development engagement to your program, fellowship, or department, depending on their approval policies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big are the cohorts and how are they formed?

Each GECC cohort includes about 4-8 participants to support intimacy and meaningful discussion. You can join with your own group or sign up for the waitlist to be matched with others who share similar values, goals, or lived experiences. Cohorts are finalized once availability and group fit are confirmed.

What if I'm not available during the suggested meeting times?

While the first meeting time is scheduled in advance, cohorts are formed based on shared availability. We will ensure all future meeting times align with everyone's time zones. The goal is to create a frequency and rhythm that feels supportive for all participants.

Do I need to attend every session?

Consistent participation will help you get the most out of the program, but we understand life happens. Depending on the group's comfort level, shared notes or recordings will be provided. If you want the optional Certificate of Completion, you'll need to attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions and complete all reflection surveys.

Can I join if I'm not currently in grad school?

Yes. Many participants are grad students and professionals navigating transitions, academic pressures, or identity-related challenges. If you're seeking a space that honors your lived experience and supports sustainable growth, you're welcome to join.

What do we cover in the sessions?

Session focus areas are shaped by your surveys and shared goals. Common topics include redefining success, time and energy management, boundary-setting, setting up systems, and long-term project planning. Sessions include both practical tools and reflective practices.

Will I receive resources outside of the sessions?

Yes. After each session, you'll receive resources, such as slides, podcast episodes, and exercises to help you apply what we covered in ways that work for your life. You'll also have access to a shared Slack space for support, gentle accountability, and community connection between sessions.

Is there an option for 1:1 coaching in addition to group coaching?

Yes, with the Hybrid option you get a monthly 1:1 call alongside the GECC. Group coaching offers collective learning, peer reflection, and shared accountability, while 1:1 coaching provides a personalized space to pursue your goals and tailor strategies to your circumstances.

How do I know if this program is right for me?

GECC is a great fit if you're navigating demanding academic or professional environments, balancing multiple responsibilities, or needing a supportive community. If you're seeking compassionate accountability and a sustainable path toward your goals, this circle was designed with you in mind.

What comes next after the GECC?

GECC is designed to give you the tools, structure, and support to continue making progress on your own. Many participants stay engaged through one-on-one coaching or retreats, and an advanced group experience will be available soon for those who want to continue their growth in a structured and community-based setting.
