Frequently Asked Questions

You can explore my tiered coaching and consulting services here. I also offer customized workshops and speaking engagements, with rates that vary based on audience size, event length, and format. If you’re interested in a specific service or would like a personalized quote, please fill out the contact form above and I’d be happy to connect and discuss your needs.

I offer a range of coaching and consulting services tailored to the needs of first-gen BIPOC students and professionals. These include one-on-one coaching for academic support, career transitions, sustainable productivity, and executive functioning; group coaching through my Grad Empowerment Coaching Circle, which is ideal for self-formed pods or small program cohorts seeking community support and structured accountability; and consulting for individuals applying to graduate school and fellowships who need personalized feedback, strategic guidance, and resource support.

My rates reflect the knowledge, depth, customization, and care I bring to every coaching and speaking engagement. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for one-on-one services, as well as special rates for returning speaking clients and those booking multiple workshops at once. I encourage individuals to seek institutional funding, professional development support, or grants that can help cover the cost of services. For campus or organizational events, I recommend partnering with multiple departments, centers, or programs to co-sponsor speaking engagements or workshops. When you invest in my work, you’re not only investing in your own or your community’s growth, you’re also helping close the Latina wage gap and supporting a small business rooted in educational equity, social justice, compassion, and sustainability.

Dra. Yvette is currently available for virtual speaking engagements and a limited number of in-person keynotes. If you’re interested in bringing her to your campus or organization, the next step is to book a consultation (see the button with the link above). During the call, you’ll discuss your event goals, budget, and how she can tailor the session to meet your group’s needs. She can also provide a quote or a custom proposal based on your specific request.

I recommend reaching out at least 4–8 weeks in advance for speaking engagements and 2–6 weeks in advance for coaching or consulting inquiries. My calendar tends to fill up quickly, especially around the start of academic terms, so the earlier the better. If your request is time-sensitive, feel free to note that when you book a consultation.

No. While many of my clients are navigating graduate school, I work with a wide range of first-gen BIPOC individuals, including undergraduates, grad students, and early to mid-career professionals. My coaching and consulting support is ideal for anyone seeking structure, accountability, and sustainable strategies for achieving their academic, professional, or personal goals. Whether you’re applying to grad school, working through a dissertation, or rethinking how you approach work and productivity, I’m here to help you thrive on your terms.

No. While I specialize in supporting first-generation BIPOC students navigating graduate school and the application process, my work extends beyond that. I also support early-career professionals, academics, and individuals in transition who are seeking sustainable ways to pursue their goals. I welcome clients who identify as allies or comrades and who share values of accessibility, compassion, and social justice.

That’s completely okay. Many of my clients start with a consultation to clarify their goals and determine which service would best support them. These calls are designed for individuals who are ready to invest in personalized guidance and want to explore the best service for them. Whether you’re navigating grad school, rethinking your career path, or seeking sustainable productivity strategies, I’ll help you find the right fit for your needs.
